VJ Movement starts sharing professional video
The Video Journalism Movement has launched the beta version of its website, providing an original way to distribute professional video reporting.
VJ Movement is a global collaboration between freelance video journalists (VJs), editorial cartoonists and the public. Its network of professional VJs share their work with the public - and potentially broadcasters - through the website, where members can log in and suggest stories for the VJs to produce.
The initiative aims to reconnect people with the news by providing access to professional videos on real life stories from all corners of the world. Founded by Thomas Loudon and Arend van den Beld, it is based in The Netherlands.
MDLF is helping VJ Movement build its management capacities and develop its business strategy, while VJ Movement will provide video journalism training to MDLF clients. Through the partnership, VJ Movement will also have an opportunity to build relationships with MDLF clients and explore ways that they can help each other.
