Sharing knowledge
We firmly believe that media companies in emerging democracies are the best source of advice for each other. We foster a lively network of clients and provide them with regular opportunities to meet, discuss and share answers to their common problems.
When a client needs expert advice or assistance, we put them in touch with another client who has first-hand experience of that issue whenever possible, though we do call on experts from the North when needed.
In addition to consultations, site visits and seminars, MDLF hosts a bi-annual Media Forum, bringing clients together in an environment that is intense, creative and - most importantly - useful. It provides an opportunity for clients to meet, network and exchange ideas over two days of active discussions and workshops. Watch interviews with clients and presenters at our most recent Media Forum.
We also hold regular DesignShops, providing practical strategic advice on making the most of the latest trends in media technology, helping clients stay ahead of the technological curve.
Invest in press freedom
It's easy to invest in MDLF's work, providing independent news businesses with the financing they need to hold governments to account, expose corruption and fight for justice for all.
